"Someone Must Have Doubted...": Senior Doctor On Trainee IAS Officer's Disability Claim

 Trainee IAS officer Puja Khedkar - under scrutiny over claims she lied about mental and visual disabilities to clear the Civil Services exam - was sent by the UPSC, the government's recruiting body, for a medical check-up because "someone must have doubted" her claim of infirmities, a senior doctor and former Director of Delhi's All India Institute of Medical Science, told NDTV. There are also questions over her claiming OBC, or Other Backward Classes, status. "Someone must have doubted Puja Khedkar's disability (claim)... that is why she was sent to AIIMS for examination," Dr MC Mishra, the ex-Director of AIIMS, said this afternoon.  The father of Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief Mukesh Sahani has been brutally murdered at their ancestral home in Bihar's Darbhanga district. Jitan Sahani's mutilated body was found on the bed this morning. Senior police officer Jagannath Reddy has confirmed the incident and said a police team is at the Sahanis' home. The chilling incident has sparked panic among local residents. A former minister in the Bihar government, Mukesh Sahani leads the Vikassheel Insaan Party, which has a strong support base in the OBC community. Army officer, 4 others killed in Doda, Jaish-linked outfit behind attack

 Four Army personnel, including an officer, and a cop were killed during an encounter with heavily armed terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district on Monday. The attack was claimed by 'Kashmir Tigers', a shadow group of Pakistan-backed terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM). The encounter took place when the troops of Rashtriya Rifles and Special Operations Group (SOG) of the Jammu and Kashmir Police launched a joint cordon and search operation at Dhari Gote Urarbagi in Desa forest belt, some 55 km from Doda town, late Monday evening. After a brief exchange of fire, the officials said the terrorists attempted to escape but were chased by the troops led by an officer, despite challenging terrain and thick foliage, leading to another firefight in the woods at nearly 9 pm.  Four Indian Army soldiers, including an officer, have been killed in action during an encounter with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district on Monday. Man killed at Trump rally identified as firefighter Corey Comperatore, who ‘died a hero’

 Firefighter Corey Comperatore was killed during the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump, Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro said Sunday. Comperatore was one of the thousands of people who attended the rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, part of Trump’s 2024 reelection effort. He died trying to protect his family, according to the governor.
